Yes, by using AmpliTube X-GEAR you can control AmpliTube Fender® with any standard MIDI controller. However, we strongly recommend to use one from the IK range of controllers like the StompIO or the StealthPedal, that allow for an immediate control of the software with no set-up needed.

There are 8 preset options for routing within AmpliTube. By clicking the numbers or using the arrows, you can scroll through for various paths. You will see the signal flow, split and alter, based upon different presets. For example, selection 2 is great for creating 2 complete rigs, that can be panned hard left/right for that big wall of sound!

You must be on the CAB screen, then look down in the Master section at the bottom of the plugin. You will see the PAN knob here, pan the CAB A section one way and then go to CAB B and pan it the other way, for a big sound! If you are on the STOMP or AMP screen, you will not have the PAN control.

Made to simulate the "Doppler effect", the original Fender® Vibratone was designed to be used with a regular guitar amplifier. When the Vibratone is turned on, a special crossover filter sends the high and low frequencies to the main amplifer's speaker, while the midrange frequencies are sent to the Vibratone speaker which faces a motorized rotating drum. A two-speed control can be selected for slow, spatial chorused effects or fast, watery, modulated tones. This exact configuration is reproduced in AmpliTube Fender®. To accurately emulate the Fender® Vibratone we have been challenged to developed a new unique technology we dubbed VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) that for the first time is able to physically emulate the real sound of a rotary speaker as it has never done before in software.

Any iRig designed to send audio signal can be used to stream. Keep in mind however, most iRig units are designed for a mono input. For example, the iRig 2, iRig HD 2, iRig Pro I/O, iRig Pre HD and iRig Pre.

Note: When using a mono iRig device, do not send a stereo signal into the unit. Due to the wiring of the input of mono devices, sending a stereo signal can cause issues with sound.

If you are streaming stereo audio from a mixer, DJ set-up, or anything with line-level output the iRig Stream is the best option for your streams. This will allow for your signal to be sent into it's RCA input and monitored through it's onboard 3.5mm headphone port. This headphone port will also allow a headset (CTIA/AHJ wiring standard) for narrating your performances.

For sending two balanced sources into iOS, like two XLR cables, check out iRig Pro Duo I/O. This powerful tool will allows for two combo jack input (XLR & 1/4") for almost any kind of input to be sent to Mac/PC, iOS, or Android.

If you're looking to simply stream your voice and no other signal, check out our iRig Mic HD 2 or iRig Mic Studio. These digital USB microphones will send a crystal clear audio signal into your iOS, Mac/PC or Android device. If you use your own microphone, but just need a way to send your signal into your your iOS, Mac/PC, or Android device check out the iRig Pre HD.

See below the answers to our most common streaming questions below.

Can I stream to Facebook Live, Instragram Live, or other services using my iRig?
Can I use the Phone app, FaceTime, Skype, or Discord with my iRig?

This is a known issue with an update to the installer coming soon.

As a workaround, you just need to install a different 64 bit IK Multimedia plugin to your system. This will install the missing files required for ARC 64 bit to work properly.

We suggest to install either AmpliTube 3 Free or SampleTank Free, both are available in every registered IK Multimedia User's account. Once installed, the ARC 64 bit plugin will work correctly.

Both can be found in your User Area > Downloads section on www.ikmultimedia.com.

FAQ ID: 1087

Inter-app Audio is a recent addition to Apple's iOS 7 operating system. It provides the user an ability to redirect audio and MIDI without the use of 3rd party applications such as Audiobus or JACK. One can route an app instrument to be recorded into another app now, for example. There are limitations and it does require a host app to support Inter-App to begin with , such as Garageband, Cubasis, Auria, etc..

Inter-app Audio offers the ability to use apps as an 'Instrument/Generator' or 'Effect/Music Effect'.

If using the app as an Instrument/Generator, you can route audio from one app to be recorded into another app. For example, if you open Garageband app and add a new Track, there is an option called 'Inter-App Audio Apps'. Select this and you will be presented with the supported Inter-App Audio apps you have installed on your device. Select a compatible app, for example, the SampleTank app, you will be directed to that app now opening. There is a transport bar which allows you to now Rewind, Play, and Record the loaded instrument into Garageband on a new track. This allows you to use your SampleTank app instruments directly and easily into Garageband.

The other Inter-App Audio function is to use an app as an Effect. In this discussion, we will use AmpliTube as our Effect app. The purpose of the Effect option is to route audio being played from an instrument or recording through the loaded Effect app. In this case, in Garageband, say we are going to use their Keyboard to play their piano. You want to route the pain through AmpliTube as an effect to get some amp tone and some stomp box effects. In Garageband, you create a new Track and select 'Inter-App Audio Apps'. From the top box, select 'Effects'. The available apps that can be used as an Effect will appear, select it, and Garageband will then let you record or play with the Effect app loaded and altering the incoming sound.

In other apps, such as Auria, one can select the Effects from a drop-down menu and apply it that way. Each app does handle this a bit differently. Refer to the product's User Manual for further instruction.

FAQ ID: 1091

Audiobus is a 3rd party application for iPhone/iPod/iPad which allows a user to route audio between apps. This means that you can send audio from your favorite instrument app to be recorded into another app. For example, you want to record the output from the SampleTank app and record into Garageband or Loopy HD. Then, you want to record some vocals through the VocaLive app into the same session. With using Audiobus, all of this is possible quickly and easily.

To use Audiobus, you must purchase it from the App Store and install. Launch the app and you will see Input, Effect, and Output options. Tap to add an app as an Input, which is what will be used to generate sounds be it an instrument app (i.e SampleTank), a guitar simulator (i.e. AmpliTube), or drum machine.

Select Effect as an option if you want to process the input signal through an app. For example, if you wish to sing through VocaLive as the Input app into the AmpliTube app which you are using as an Effect. This will allow you to route the audio from VocaLive into AmpliTube to alter the vocals, and finally, you must select a destination, or Output app, such as Garageband, Loopy HD, Multi-Track DAW, etc..

FAQ ID: 1092

Virtual MIDI allows the user on an iOS device to allow multiple apps running on the same device to send MIDI to each other using multitasking, all virtually, no cables!

For example, Virtual MIDI allows you to layer sounds on 2 different apps together at the same time, use one app as a MIDI controller for another app, or use an app to trigger another app to start playing.

For more information, visit this helpful article here.

FAQ ID: 1093

MIDI control is a communication protocol that helps you connect different MIDI-compatible devices or applications with each other.

Think of MIDI as if it were a piano roll in one of those old piano player machines - the holes in the paper represent the note to be played, for how long, and how loud.  The piano roll then plays the music based on the holes punched in the piano roll paper.

MIDI works the same way - it sends commands to your MIDI instruments, so that the instrument knows what notes to play, for how long, how loud, etc.

Control Changes (CC)
Aside from notes, MIDI can also communicate Control Change messages, which allow you to control specified control functions on your MIDI instrument.  For example, volume, pan, modulation, aftertouch, frequency cutoff, or resonance. MIDI Control Change messages are numbered from 0 - 127.  So there are a possible 128 different commands that can be sent as a MIDI Control Change (CC) command.

The MIDI Standard suggests specific MIDI Control Change commands to specific functions.  For example, MIDI CC#1 typically controls the Modulation Wheel, MIDI CC #7 typically controls Volume, MIDI CC #10 typically controls Pan information, and so on.

In some cases, and with some software, these MIDI CC control commands can be interchangeable, meaning that you can assign virtually any MIDI CC # to use to control any unspecified function.

With MIDI Control Change commands, you can use a MIDI controller that can send MIDI Control Change (CC) information to control specific functions in a MIDI Device or MIDI Software.

With iRig BlueBoard, for example, you can set up iRig BlueBoard to send a MIDI Control Change message to AmpliTube for iPad.  Since AmpliTube for iPad allows you to assign any MIDI CC message to any of its effects or amp parameters, you can set up iRig BlueBoard to send a MIDI CC message to turn an effect on or off, or Bypass the amp emulation by using a MIDI CC message to turn the amp on or off.

Or, using an optional Expression Pedal, you can use your Expression Pedal to send a Control Change message to an AmpliTube effect, like a Wah pedal.  Simply click and hold on the Wah pedal image until you see the "Assign Control" window appears.  Then move the Expression Pedal so that AmpliTube "learns" the incoming MIDI Control Change message.

Program Changes (PC)
MIDI Program Changes commands allow you to recall specific sounds via MIDI.  Originally, MIDI Program Change messages allowed you to recall a specific patch.

These types of MIDI messages can be used to recall specific presets or sounds saved in your IK apps.

Like MIDI Control Change commands, MIDI Program Change commands are numbered 0-127, for a possible 128 MIDI Program Change commands that can be sent via MIDI.

For example, with iRig BlueBoard set to send MIDI Program Change messages, you can send a MIDI Program Change to recall a specific FAVORITE preset in AmpliTube,  Or a saved preset in SampleTank.

Pitch Wheel
The Pitch Wheel is a physical controller on a keyboard or synthesizer that allows you to pitch bend, or vary the pitch up or down. You will also see this option on on instrument apps such as SampleTank.

No. The sounds from Miroslav Philharmonik 1 are already in the library, saving you the need to import them.

FAQ ID: 1132

The only difference is how you install the sound library, as the download version, one must download all 16 parts of the sound library from our website and then install.

If you purchase the boxed version, included is a USB thumb drive which contains the installer for the software itself and the sound library.

Please note that the USB drive will install the library only and cannot be used for storage or as a hard drive to launch the sounds from.

FAQ ID: 1133

No, the USB drive only contains the installers for the library and cannot be used as storage to launch the sounds from.

Once you have installed the sounds, we suggest to keep the USB drive in a safe place for any future install needs.

Miroslav 2 is designed to be an expansion library to the SampleTank 3 collection or to run by itself. If you do not have SampleTank 3 installed, a folder will be created for the sounds, as SampleTank 3 and Miroslav 2 share the same sounds path.

If you do not have SampleTank 3 installed, that is ok. The directory will be created for you under the SampleTank 3 name, or you can simply name a custom directory yourself.

Note that you can download SampleTank 3 Custom Shop for free at anytime from your User Area > My Products!

This can occur due to the Windows character limit on files. To get around this:

- On your desktop, create a folder with a short file name such as "MP2"
- After downloading a Part, right-click and select to "Extract Files"
- Extract the files to the newly created folder of 'MP2"
- Now, go into the MP 2 folder and you will see a folder titled "MP_Part_#", take this folder's contents and move them into the "MP2" folder (This will shorten the file-path)
- Now run the installer and follow the on-screen steps to install each Part

This is a general error which could mean a couple of things. To start, this could be a result of pressing "Back" after ordering your product. While the error shows, your order still went through. To see the status of your order at any time, go to My Orders.

This could also be an issue with your browser's cache or cookies. Be sure to try clearing these, or trying another browser for purchase.

If your issues persist, try purchasing from a cellular network as opposed to your WiFi connection, or wait some time before trying to order again.

Before trying to order again, we strongly suggest checking your My Orders page to see the status of your order.
