“I was pleasantly surprised to see that IK Multimedia's technology and innovation have reached a whole new level.”

Félix Santos Jr. is a brazilian musician from Pirapora (state of Minas Gerais) who started studying acoustic guitar at the age of nine by the influence of his father. IK Multimedia invited him to show a bit of his talent at Made In Brazil Music Store in the city of Brasília and play with iRig Acoustic Stage, our newest release for acoustic instruments, so now you can watch this astonishing presentation and get floored too.

iRig Acoustic Stage is the advanced digital microphone system developed by IK Multimedia to get the best of acoustic guitars. Providing musicians a rich natural sound, iRig Acoustic Stage uses MEMS technology to deliver a real acoustic sound in the studio or live on stage.

When you are performing live, it is not just about having the best guitar and the best strings. (…) You need to capture the tonal balance of the instrument as a whole with the microphone and I never heard anything do this before. The way it captures the acoustic guitar gives you the entire sound of your instrument. iRig Acoustic Stage gives me that sound quality and made performing even more enjoyable - I'm really surprised.

Check out Félix's amazing performance playing some standards of brazilian typical rhythms like choro, samba, baião and MPB on his 7 and 8 strings acoustic guitars, both typical of brazilian popular and instrumental styles.

Félix Santos Jr. has played with many of the biggest names of brazilian music like Altamiro Carrilho, Joel Nascimento, Osvaldinho do Acordeom, Turíbio Santos, Jorge Cardoso, Gabriel Grossi, Bebe Kramer, Hamilton de Holanda, Rick Trolsen, Dirceu Leite, Dominguinhos, Daniela Spielman, Os Cariocas, Yamandú Costa and others.
