My iRig Keys I/O doesn't playback any audio. What is going on?

Make sure to connect your headphones or external speakers directly to the iRig Keys I/O unit. After connecting headphones or external speakers, tap the ALT button, then turn the DATA knob/button to adjust your output level.

Make sure to have a compatible app such as *SampleTank CS for iOS, *Syntronik CS for iOS, or any of our other Core MIDI compatible apps open when using your device. An app will be required for the iRig Keys I/O to operate properly on iOS. The iRig Keys I/O will work with any Core MIDI compatible apps.

*Make sure to register your iRig Keys I/O to unlock bonus gear in these apps. Read more here.

The iRig Keys I/O series of products are I/O (Input/Output) devices, which means they handle both audio input and output. Because of this, the connected iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) device's speakers will disabled upon the iRig Keys I/O connection.

At this time, it is not possible to route the audio output to your iOS device speakers when using I/O devices. This routing is set this way by iOS. You can route to Bluetooth/Airplay devices, but not to the built-in speakers. We do hope Apple allows this in future iOS updates, but at this time it is not possible.
