Royal Upright Y5 は、モダンな Yamaha U5 アップライト・ピアノを自社開発のサンプリング・ロボットで精密にサンプリングしたピアノ・モデルです。この美しいアップライト・ピアノの、ダイレクトで親しみやすいサウンドは、ジャズやポップス、ボーカルの伴奏、コンサート・グランドの迫力が過剰に感じられるときなど、さまざまな音楽シーンで利用できます。

1967年に発売された YAMAHA U5 アップライト・ピアノは、高品質で手頃な価格のピアノとして幅広い音楽家に受け入れられ、瞬く間にYAMAHAの人気モデルの一つとなりました。

ピアノの収録は、イタリアのエミリア・ロマーニャ州モデナにある、IK 本社の最新スタジオで慎重に行われました。サンプリング時は、クローズ・マイキングに AKG 414、背面のコインシデント・ペアに DPA を使用しています。

美食とフェラーリやランボルギーニなどの高級スポーツカー、そしてオペラなどの芸術で知られる都市、モデナ。この芸術作品とも言えるピアノは、それにふさわしい場所で丁寧に録音されています。
