Sonic TALK 502 on Syntronik: "It just sounds REALLY GOOD!"

"It has a real analogue feel to it"

"If you can't get what you want out of this library, if you need any kind of analogue synthesis, then the problem is with you rather than this tool!"

Sonic State's popular video discussion session, Sonic TALK 502, recently spent some time looking at Syntronik. Regular host Nick Batt shared his thoughts with contributors Ty Unwin, media composer, and performer Ben Wilson, known as DivKid.

Here are some of their key comments:

"The bottom line is - this one sounds really good, it sounds REALLY GOOD!"

"Put together by Erik Norlander who can be described as a synthesis heavyweight."

"They use DRIFT technology where the oscillators 'drift'not just in a tuning way, but with phasing and others - and it just works, there's lots going on under the hood - and it has a real analogue feel to it."

"The reason I am really impressed with this as a library is the fact that it is not expensive, but it just sounds really good."

"I really like the drift feature, when parameters can do that, it really comes alive."

Their final verdict was:

"This one does sound better than most, it takes it to a whole new level - If you can't get what you want out of this library, if you want any kind of analogue synthesis, then the problem is with you rather than this tool!"
