"Rubber feet keep the iKlip Studio nice and stable and the support tray allows easy switching between orientations. A light plastic bracket is included which holds the iRig guitar interface nicely in position. The Kip Studio is a remarkably stable stand which coped easily with the pounding I gave it in GarageBand."
Macworld Australia's Keith White has taken IK's new desktop holder, iKlip Studio, for a test drive in their May issue. Read some of his comments here:
"In taking GarageBand 1.2 - for a test drive I used a new iPad desktop stand - the iKlip Studio from IK Multimedia who specialise in software and a variety of useful add-ons for musicians. The iKlip Studio is made from very light thermoplastic which folds flat for portability. It opens up to a range of adjustable angles varying from almost vertical which is great for reading scores to almost flat for running apps such as synthesisers or mixers. Rubber feet keep the iKlip Studio nice and stable and the support tray allows easy switching between orientations. Openings in the stand give access to all iPad ports. A light plastic bracket is included which holds the iRig guitar interface nicely in position. The iKlip Studio is a remarkably stable stand which coped easily with the pounding I gave it in GarageBand."
Pros: Compact, light, cleverly designed.
Cons: None at the price
IKlip Studio wins 5 mice!
