"This is probably the most important bit of software in my studio at the moment. Before a track goes for a final master, I do a rough mix in T-RackS and play it out in a club just to find out if it needs any final adjustments."
Danish House producer and DJ, Kölsch - who is also known by the names Rune RK, ENUR, Artificial Funk and Ink & Needle has been speaking with MusicRadar and Computer Music Magazine about his top five software tools that he just couldn't be without in his studio.
He collaborates closely with major names such as Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Coldplay, Deadmau5 and many more. He is, of course, the mastermind behind the massive worldwide dancefloor hit, Calabria, which remains a favourite amongst remixers to this day. He was interviewed in the August 2015 issue of Computer Music and highlighted two IK products as particularly critical to his sound:
Miroslav Philharmonik:
"I've been using this for years. Strings, choirs, some pianos - All great quality sounds. And when you program a part, it actually sounds like real strings."
T-RackS:
"This is probably the most important bit of software in my studio at the moment. Before a track goes for a final master, I do a rough mix in T-RackS and play it out in a club just to find out if it needs any final adjustments."
"The best thing about T-RackS? It's just so, so, so quick!"
