A huge number of TV viewers were treated to a live action recording session using iRig PRO and VocaLive for iPad on the UK's leading technology and gear TV series, Channel 5's Gadget Show. Presenters Jason, Ortis and Amy were set a challenge to create and record a song and then get it into the UK Top 40 music charts.

With a huge weekly audience, Channel 5's Gadget Show is the UK's leading technology and gear TV series.

Viewers who watched episode 2 of the currently running series were treated to a live demonstration of iRig PRO and VocaLive for iPad in action. The challenge set for presenters Jason, Ortis and Amy was to create, record and produce a dance track and then attempt to get it into the UK's Top 40 music charts.

Using a collection of readily available music gear we see them in action creating and recording their dance composition. Ortis handles the vocals and we see him singing backing tracks into VocaLive for iPad using a studio microphone connected through his iRig PRO. Eagle eyed viewers will also spot an iRig KEYS in the gear collection!

Do they succeed in reaching the UK Top 40 charts? We'll have to check out the programme over the next few weeks to see how far up they reached.
