How do I transfer or back up my AmpliTube presets?

All AmpliTube 5 presets are .at5p files and are stored in the location below.This location is where AmpliTube 5 will look for it's presets. Any presets listed here will be displayed in AmpliTube 5. We will use this location to transfer your presets between systems or back them up to a new location.

MacOS: /Users/USERNAME/Documents/IK Multimedia/AmpliTube 5/presets/
Windows: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5\Presets

How to transfer/back up:

  1. Open a File Explorer (Windows) or a Finder window (Mac)
  2. Go to the directory listed above for your Operating System.
  3. Find the Preset files (.at5p) or folders of presets you would like to transfer, then copy these files/folders by right clicking them
  4. Go to the new same directory listed above on your new system (or the location of your back up) and paste these files
  5. All files compatible added to the AmpliTube 5 Presets folder should immediately appear in AmpliTube 5
