How to manage your sounds using IK Product Manager

The IK Product Manager is designed to help you manage your sound content for all of your IK apps anywhere you want to keep them.

This quick guide is to help walk through the functions most helpful when managing your sound content. The bullets below will cover items in the Sounds tab.

  1. Size on disk - This is a calculation of the size your sound content that has been installed to your machine. This does not include the download size. Downloads can be removed after your sound content has been installed.
  2. Install/Installed/Re-Install -This button will allow users to Install or Re-Install their sound content in the case of any issues. The Re-Install function will re-use the downloaded files from your Downloads Folder, so be sure to delete any downloads if you need to re-install due to an issue.
  3. Download Size - This is the size of the file which will be required to download the sound content. Please note this will not include the install size. Make sure your system has enough space for both of these. If needed downloads can be removed after your sound content has been installed.
  4. Files Remaining -This is an indicator of the amount of files required to install or re-install your software. This is the count of files currently downloaded for the library. Once a library is installed, this number is only important if you are looking to re-install a library. To reset this value, use the Clear Downloads Cache function which will appear when clicking the user name.
Below are items covered in the Settings menu. This menu can be opened by clicking the Gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the IK Product Manager.
  1. Auto Authorization - This function will allow anything from the Software tab to immediately authorize after it's installed. If you do not have this checked, your sound content might not unlock immediately. Sound content authorization is tied to the application it will be loaded in (For example: SampleTank 4, Pianoverse, or Syntronik 2).
  2. Downloads Folder - This is the location where your downloaded files will go. This will not select the location where your sounds are installed to, and this location will not affect your applications directly.
  3. Sounds install settings - This functions is only for advanced users. If you have any trouble, disable this setting and remove any paths added by your selection (on pressing Install/Re-Install). This will both install your sound content to a new location and change the path inside your application.
