How does Sustain work in Hammond B-3X?

The Sustain Pedal in Hammond B-3X is designed in a way to make sense with the logic of an original Hammond B3. Since on an original Hammond B3 the keys are simply opening a gate to allow notes to come through from the different tone-wheels, a sustain would just allow these gates to remain open. Unlike other instrument sustains, re-sending the same message would not trigger another note. This would go outside of how a real Hammond B3 would work and we wanted to keep the most realistic replication possible.
