T-RackS 3:"The Best Native Software Compressor"
Computer Music's January 2009 review gives T-RackS 3 Deluxe 'Performance' Award
Computer Music's January 09 issue has given T-Racks 3 Deluxe an in-depth review - and their coveted 'Performance' award!
Here are some of their key findings:
"The new 'analogue' plug-ins impressed the most, bringing some of that warm and punchy magic."
"As for metering, it is a welcome addition....the perceived loudness meter is very helpful when trying to maintain a consistent sounding level."
"The A/B/C/D compare panel is another winner, enabling you to set up four mastering chains and flip between them instantly."
"The Fairchild and Pultec emulations are comparable to those of Universal Audio's renknowned UAD system, which is to say that they're rather good indeed."
"Our favourite is the Opto Compressor, which is blessed with a fantastic sound that makes it a contender for the best native software compressor."
and their summary was:
"Overall, both T-RackS 3 bundles represent solid value for money. You can achieve great mastering results with minimal fuss, and the processors work great in the mix too."
