We worked exclusively with the engineers and directors at Fender to ensure that the sound you get from the digital models is virtually identical to the sound you'd get from the hardware components. And (not to brag or anything) we did it. We meticulously recreated step by step every sonic nuance and detail inherent in the amps, cabs, pedals and rack gear.

Ultra-precise amp response down to the finest detail.
The amps have been painstakingly studied, analyzed and reproduced with a maniacal attention to the very deepest detail: from the true potentiometers curves to the characteristic amp behavior at all sound levels. Having the sound of the real things on your desktop doesn’t get any closer than this.
Precisely matched reverb models.
Each amp sports its unique on-board reverb model that has been modeled separately in order to closely mirror how the original corresponding amp sounds.
Constantly Evolving and Revolving Technologies
IK’s exclusive technologies like DSM™ (Dynamic Saturation Modeling) have been used extensively and pushed to the limit allowing us to achieve unprecedented sonic results in realism of guitar and bass gear models. And to accurately emulate the sonic characteristics of the Fender® Vibratone, we developed a unique new technology we VRM™ (Volumetric Response Modeling) that for the first time is able to truly physically emulate the real sound of a rotary speaker as it has never done before in software.
Revolutionary Technology... Really.
Did we mention that we had to create whole new technologies for this project? Our talented software/golden ear engineers weren't quite satisfied with the way our rotary speaker emulator was performing, although frankly it was the best sounding model in the industry. But they just couldn't leave it alone... something wasn't exactly perfect... something was missing and they wanted to get it nailed down. So we came up with a completely new way to nail the doppler effect while preserving all the tonal characteristics of the source. We created what's called Volumetric Response Modeling (it's patented), and although we can't tell you how it works (that's proprietary insider trading type stuff), it's light years ahead of other rotary speaker modeling technologies. Go ahead and demo the Vibratone model... you'll smell what we're stepping in.
Tailored to Fender® Instruments.
During all testing we ensured that AmpliTube Fender™ gives you the best tone when used with Fender® guitars and basses. So now the Virtual Fender® sounds like a Fender when playing a Fender.
