“Get more with Morley”

Founded in Los Angeles in the ′60s by brothers Ray and Marvin Lubow, the Morley company has produced innovative wah-wahs, volume pedals, phasers pedals and the original (patented design) Oil Can Delay included here, which is no longer produced. Morley is best known for its wah-wah pedals that were the first to use an electro-optical circuit rather than a potentiometer to control the effect, making them both quieter and smoother to operate. Morley pedals have been used by a wide range of musicians, including Steve Vai, David Gilmour, Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Jerry Garcia and Lee Ritenour.

Gear available in Morley Collection

Morley Collection features three classic stompboxes including the much sought-after EVO-1 which uses an electro-static delay apparatus famously called the Oil Can Delay. Morley EVO-1 'Oil Can Delay'

Officially Certified Morley® EVO-1 "Oil Can Delay"

The Morley EVO-1 is a rare and highly coveted effect pedal that was released in the early ′70s. It uses a patented electro-static delay technology to create a lush velvety delay with hints of modulation that’s unlike any analog echo. Perfectly recaptured by IK’s design team and sound-certified by Morley, you’ll get all of the hardware’s sonic idiosyncrasies and unpredictability with some new advanced features.

How it works

The EVO-1 has three main controls: one for the delay time, one for the feedback and one for the echo volume. The EVO-1 also has a volume pedal, which can be used to create swells or adjust volume in real-time with an expression control. With Morley’s enthusiastic blessing, IK has added further controls.

Disk Noise allows you to blend in the magic sounds made from imperfections in the erase head, which don’t allow the disk to be completely erased at each turn, resulting in part of its charm. Disk Erase regulates the efficiency of the erase head. And finally, you can adjust the delay time precisely using a new BPM control.

Morley Power Wah Fuzz

Officially Certified Morley® Power Wah Fuzz

The Morley Power Wah Fuzz is another classic effects pedal released in the ′70s that combines a wah and a fuzz effect into one unit. Using the latest modeling technologies IK has faithfully recreated the warmth and saturated tone of the original MPSA12 transistor. Even the wide frequency range of the optical sensor (the first of its kind) was modeled to deliver a variety of sounds from subtle to extreme. The Power Wah Fuzz has been used by many musicians including Cliff Burton and Jerry Garcia.

The Power Wah Fuzz has two main controls: the intensity level and the wah tone. The Intensity knob lets you balance the level of the Fuzz to the level of the instrument. The tone controls the overall tone of the fuzz. When the fuzz and wah is turned off the pedals works as a volume pedal.

Morley Contour Wah

Officially Certified Morley® Contour Wah Pedal Model

The Morley Contour Wah Pedal Model is an electro-optical wah pedal that was first released in 1996. It has a wide frequency range and a variable Q control, which allows you to precisely shape the wah sound. The pedal also has a Contour mode, which lets you create sweeping filter effects.

Thanks to its array of controls, the Contour Wah Pedal can be tweaked to suit many styles and sounds. The Contour and Level controls allow you to fine tune the high-end response and personality of the pedal from mellow to bright and cutting, while the Auto-off feature adds tremendous flexibility to the pedal's functionality. Works with Bass guitar too!

Add historic dimensions to your sound with the Morley Collection. The unique memory system of the Morley Oil Can Delay is back. Free flowing Echo. Notes cascading and falling through time and space without beginning or end. On a background of velvet black silence.

The thunderous Power Wah Fuzz makes its plugin debut as well. Morley and IK Multimedia spent years carefully analyzing the original analog units and have delivered their true authentic sound in digital format. Morley’s famed Contour Wah rounds up the collection giving you the option of vintage and modern Wah tones.”
