IK Multimedia's StompIO will appear on US national television tonight, May 7th, 2008, with the multi-platinum rock band P.O.D. in front of 50 million viewers. The band's bassist, Traa Daniels, will control the tones of Ampeg SVX with the StompIO foot controller and multi-fx system. Traa Daniels, a proud StompIO user, will be using StompIO during the performance on Jay Leno to promote P.O.D.'s new album "When Angels and Serpents Dance", where the tones of Ampeg SVX were used on every song in the original recordings.

Quotes from a previous IK interview with Traa:

"The rig I used in the studio…Ampeg SVX plug-in, on the whole record.  It just had a really unique tone and it got exactly what we wanted to get.

"I think [StompIO] is great, and I think it's very important, too.  When you go to see someone playing in concert, you want it to sound the way you heard it on the CD, the way you heard it on the radio.  A lot of the time, when we go in the studio, when I'm recording I'm using pedals and effects and stuff like that. To be able to have these pedals at my disposal in the StompIO and in a lot of cases, be able to use the exact same pedals live as in the studio is great. I think it's beneficial to me and to any musician who's looking for the next level…  It's really where the future is going."

P.O.D. (Payable On Death) is a multi-platinum nu metal band from San Diego, California. P.O.D.'s success with hit singles, "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation", pushed the album to go 3x platinum. Their new album, "When Angels and Serpents Dance" is now out in stores.
