"This is a really cool piece of software, especially if you are already a fan of Ampeg amps. The look of the software is absolutely superb, the tuner and stompbox screen are very nice. For those of you who have used other virtual amp plug-ins it's quite a good feeling dialing up an SVT Classic with an 810 box on an authentic Ampeg product…The tuning function is very responsive even picking up extremely low notes very well….The good thing about the tuner is it always remains open as a mini version when you are on the other tabs. .."

"There are virtually unlimited possibilities with what amp/speaker/mic combinations you can create, the more and more I explored this plug-in the more ideas came for trying different things. If you are not totally confident with creating your virtual amp from scratch there are 36 pre-set amp/cab combinations and over 40 pre-set style patches, which use a combination of amps and fx settings. It takes literally seconds to start getting interesting tones. The other feature is Speedtrainer, this is a very useful feature, it allows you to drag and drop audio files onto the plug-in. Then on playback you can speed up and slow down the track and also alter the pitch making it easy to learn basslines that are buried deep in the mix and complicated sections of music."

"As a recording tool this software is absolutely awesome. As a replacement for your Ampeg Valve Head and Mountain of 810 cabs for live use on a laptop, well I guess the option is there now…10 out of 10 to IK this plug-in is essential for the studio. If you don't really need that old bass amp on stage and can monitor happily with foldback this should be considered as a new alternative for your live sound and you don't have to lug that damn fridge around any more."
