National hit TV series airs with Russ Landau playing StompIO 
The 2009 Season Finale of Survivor was shot LIVE with real musicians playing on stage at the Ed Sullivan/David Letterman Theater in New York City, USA. Russ Landau, the composer of Survivor's theme song (who used the sounds of SampleTank and Miroslav Philharmonik), played bass on stage for the Season Finale airing, using StompIO to control the sounds of AmplITube and Ampeg SVX. "StompIO made it easy for me to take the sounds I had recorded in the studio and play them live on stage. I've got a lot of plates spinning in the air - so to speak - during the live broadcast of each Survivor 'Reunion', or as we call it, the Survivor Finale show. I'm receiving constant cues to clips, breaks and bumpers from the director that, as music director for the show, I have to translate into cues, count offs and cut offs for the band. One of the more challenging moments is when I have to trigger the backing tracks for the Survivor Theme that's played when the winner is announced. The band plays along with the tracks which are played on my MacBook Pro through Logic Pro. In the past, I'd have to reach over to the computer and somehow fade the tracks out while the band takes over... this while I'm playing bass - and you don't want to be stumbling around, falling out of the groove with the Marotta boys behind you!" "IK helped me solve this problem with the StompIO and a couple of expression pedals. It was relatively easy to assign one of the pedals to a bus fader in Logic where I assigned the stereo output of the backing tracks. The other pedal was assigned to my bass output. Using the pedals and a great AmpliTube rack of effects controlled by the StompIO, I was able to gently fade out the tracks without skipping a beat and maintain my sound and performance while cueing the band... and at no time were any Marotta tossed drum sticks thrown at my head!""
