The engines have been fine tuned to bring even more control and compatibility with a wider number of samples, allowing you to create even more legato solo instruments, tightly harmonized phrases, and speed up and slow down phrases and loops with even more precision and creativity.
Enhanced combi editing features
With the new RANGE editing section, with SampleTank 2 it is now possible to create complex splits and layers. Split sounds by key-range or velocity. Easily create and play Piano/Bass split COMBIS or push the limits of your imagination with up to 16 part splits and layered sounds!
New editing and realtime parameters
Real-time editing features have been expanded with SampleTank 2. Some of these new features include syncable LFOs, expanded MIDI control, semi-tone transposition, and zone level pan control, to name a few.
Importing and expandability
SampleTank 2 can import AKAI, SAMPLECELL (on Mac), WAV, and AIFF. So, a variety of sample formats can be converted to SampleTank 2, right from the interface, breathing new life into your older sampler libraries, as well as any library available in standard WAV and AIFF format.
SampleTank 2 XL is also 100% compatible with the extensive libraries and software instruments available through IK Multimedia, including Sonik Synth 2, Miroslav Philharmonik, Sonik Capsules, and the Expansion Tank series.
